Pronouns can be tricky.
Preparations for Flame Con are almost complete! I’m starting work on the shirts now, which is the final phase. I’m pretty excited about the designs, even though most of them aren’t directly related to Easy. They’ll be available in the store when I finish them, but I’ll be sure to post updates as they come along.
It’s like when a straight guy goes out, get’s drunk and call girls bad names. Both are wrong, but hey, men. And also in there defense, girls do it too. So it’s a human thing. I don’t drink so I didn’t see it sooner.
Odd. Wrong, but still odd.
I’ll honestly never understand what it is that makes people actually act that way in public. Alcohol can sometimes be a factor, sure, but I think you need to be a little inclined to that sort of behavior anyway before alcohol can make you act on it. I dunno, I don’t drink either so I’m probably not the best authority on the matter.
But like, has that ever worked for anyone? Just yelling rudely at girls in hopes one of them will fall for you? It seems like a longshot to me.
I think they are just venting, not trying to pick up anyone.
It has been documented, and or proven, that alcohol reduces your natural act of holding back. If you have next to no self control, it’s all gone and those are the violent drunks. Then there are the criers. They possibly, hold their emotions in a lot or normally come off cold. That goes for the partiers too.
And the ones that got this talk going in the first place could be the ones that don’t speak up in their relationships for what ever reason and this is how it comes out. First disrespect for the sex they find attractive, then confessing what is wrong with their relationship and either seeking forgiveness, or understanding what is wrong and knowing it has to end or coming to grips that it over between them and who they like after a breakup.
That’s my two cents. 🙂
I think I’ve met at least one of each of those types in my life. The best part about not drinking is watching how other people act when they do.
Ha, I was totally expecting him to barf (having only realized he was drunk since last week’s page), but this works too, I like it! Looks like both of them got some defensive mechanisms going on…
(btw I’m Alast from previous comments)
I think the overall theme of this story is the different defense mechanisms people have. I honestly hadn’t even thought about the possibility of making him through up, but that would have been a nice touch on top of everything else Josiah has to deal with right now!
This is such a dream given to him by his unconsciousness. I’m calling it now o/
I listened to “Days to come” from Bonobo. Has a nice free jazz vibe to it. And it doesn’t demand your attention as much as “20syl”, so you can have it in the background and kind of “absorb” it ^_^”.
Reminds me a bit of the way “The whitest boy alive” handles poprock.
That’s it for today on Michaels music hour. Now back to the comic!
Haha, an interesting theory. We shall see!
I’m always cool with talking music, so feel free to indulge yourself whenever you like! I got on a bit of a downtempo electronica kick for a while and Bonobo were pretty much at the top of the list. Another one I was super into around that time was Bibio, whose songs take a bit more of an acoustic folksy edge.
